Boy Inspired By Fetty Wap To Face The World Without His Prosthetic Eye Finally Meets His Hero

The feeling is mutual.

Six months ago, a young boy by the name of Jayden Burgos picked up a bunch of internet love after his mom, Brenda Vaden, posted an emotional Instagram of him ditching his prosthetic eye and embracing his true self. At the time, Vaden wrote that Fetty Wap, famous for tracks such as "Trap Queen" and "My Way," was so inspiring that he "unknowingly gave Jayden something we weren't able to give him — the confidence to be different."

The rapper responded quickly on the Instagram, saying, "All I wanna do is show ppl that it's not how you look or what you see it's how you see it and what your (sic) looking for from yourself." Naturally, the post went viral from there.

Now Jayden and Fetty have finally met in person. As reported by People, the latter invited Jayden backstage during his February 24 Monster Outbreak Energy show in Denver and presented him with #RemyBoyz gear.

Asked about Jayden back when he first heard his story, Fetty told People, "I know how it feels to be picked on. I've been talked about my whole entire life. The only difference now is they're saying good things about the guy with one eye. I'm proud of Jayden and I appreciate him more than he may know."

Now Jayden definitely knows.
