Feminists Reading Mean Tweets Show Just How Low Some People Are

Ever tried to speak your mind online and got bullied by a bunch of anonymous comments? Imagine this happening every day.
According to Pew Research Center, "73% of adult internet users have seen someone be harassed in some way online and 40% have personally experienced it." Moreover, their study showed that young women experience "certain severe types of harassment at disproportionately high levels."
Mic decided to give it a go and show just how horrible online abuse really is by asking famous feminists to read some of the mean tweets targeted towards them.
The video was modeled after Jimmy Kimmel's "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets", and opts to show "how women who challenge the status quo are treated online on a daily basis," Mic claims.
