If you're looking for some fashion inspiration, look no further than some of the leading women in today's most talked-about industries, including film, music, sports, and beyond.
That said, we've pulled some of our favorite ladies from various industries who have accomplished some brilliant feats — in addition to acting as positive role models — and recreated their fashion-forward looks perfect for various occasions.
From Alicia Vikander to Ellen DeGeneres, Demi Lovato and more, here are some stylish women with looks we would be proud to wear.
1. Alicia Vikander
First up, we're recreating this all-white look from Alicia Vikander's appearance at the 40th Annual Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards. This year, Vikander's took home an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in The Danish Girl as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Critics' Choice Movie Award, among others.
To get her look, we've chosen a similar white skirt, a simple matching tee, and a pair of black sandals.
2. Ellen DeGeneres
It's no secret that Ellen DeGeneres is an incredibly motivational talk show host on a mission to promote positivity and kindness in today's world. In the photo above, DeGeneres honors Teacher of the Year Jahana Hayes, writing: "I've said it many times — I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let me lead the way. Show them all … you get where I'm going with this."
To get DeGeneres' look, we've chosen a pair of grey jeans, a comfortable chambray shirt, and an ivory blazer. Finish the outfit with sneakers and a silver watch.
3. Misty Copeland
Last year, Misty Copeland made history when she was named the American Ballet Theater's first African-American female principal dancer. And just this month, Mattel announced they would be immortalizing Copeland as a Barbie to continue inspiring young girls around the world.
To get Copeland's look from Variety's Power of Women luncheon, we've chosen a floral dress, a bold heel, and a neutral clutch.
4. Demi Lovato
We love singer Demi Lovato as a promoter of body positivity and self-love. In February, Lovato sat down with DeGeneres in an interview explaining how she's learned to love her curves despite past struggles with her own body image and eating habits. Prior to that, Lovato shot a no-makeup, no-photoshop spread in Vanity Fair that reminded us that natural beauty is to be celebrated.
To get Lovato's look from the photo above, rock a pair of distressed jeans, a blue leather jacket, and a springy pink lip.
5. Michelle Obama
"As I got older, I found that men would whistle at me or make comments about how I looked as I walked down the street, as if my body were their property, as if I were an object to be commented on instead of a full human being with thoughts and feelings of my own ... I began to realize that the hopes I had for myself were in conflict with the messages I was receiving from people around me...I decided not to listen to the voices of those who doubted or dismissed me. Instead, I decided to listen to my own voice."
For that, among her many other notable accomplishments as the first lady and an all-around incredible leading woman, we've chosen to recreate one of her beautiful looks too featuring a red skirt and pumps and a light pink tank top for the perfect summer ensemble.
