According to The National Center For Fathering, there are more than 20 million kids in the United States that live in fatherless homes.
"If it were classified as a disease, fatherlessness would be an epidemic worthy of attention as a national emergency," the center writes on its website.
Luckily, there are those who do more than their fair share.
Evan Waddy-Farr is a youth minister in The Bronx. To many kids, he is the male role model they need. In the absence of days set aside just for father figures, they decided to honor him for Father's Day — and it turned into a lesson in gratitude.
