With yesterday being #InternationalDayOfTheGirl, we're in the mood to celebrate all the badass women that make our planet go 'round.
The United Nations (UN) declared October 11 International Day of the Girl with a mission "to help galvanize worldwide enthusiasm for goals to better girls' lives, providing an opportunity for them to show leadership and reach their full potential."
That said, we've chosen Emma Watson, and her effortless style, to inspire three looks you can rock day to night as a reminder of all the accomplishments and potential for women on this planet.
Watson is a great inspiration for style and life for many reasons: She is known for her incredible efforts to promote sustainable fashion, her role as a UN Women Global Goodwill Ambassador, for being the voice behind the #HeForShe movement, and, of course, her stellar work in film.
Check out the looks below:
Emma Watson, who promotes sustainable looks on her Instagram, rocks day and nighttime trends that are both fashion-forward and good for our environment.
For her above look, Watson explains her choice of sweater:
"Cable sweater by @zady. It's made from biodegradable, certified organic wool from non-mulesed sheep in Argentina and naturally coloured Alpaca from Peru (so they have removed the need to use chemical dyes). It was knitted just outside Los Angeles by a family run company. Zady's (sometimes long) supply chains are a true example of how fashion companies can really become transparent and traceable."
To get Watson's look, we paired her Zady sweater with eco-friendly jeans and a pair of kicks.
Watson's blazer and pant look is the perfect outfit to take from the office to dinner with friends. We've chosen a black satin blazer, black jeans, and a striped tank to complete this effortless ensemble.
For our last look, we've chosen Watson's all-black ensemble from the One Young World summit. We've paired a sleeveless black top and trousers, like Watson's, with on-trend mules and eco-friendly Dogeared stud earrings.
