She Tried To Surprise The Love Of Her Life After 100 Days Apart, But She Failed. It Ended Beautifully Anyway.

D'awww.

As her sister Kelsey revealed on YouTube, Emma Trabue hadn't seen her military fiancé for 100 days when she arrived at the Detroit airport in the hopes of surprising him.

They had gotten engaged over the phone while he was in Basic Training, so this was the first time they would see each other in person since promising to spend the rest of their lives together.

But with the help of a family friend who works as a flight attendant, Emma got the go ahead to pass through airport security and wait for her (supposedly) unsuspecting fiancé, Jon Greko. She planned to surprise the airman with a poster welcoming him home as soon as he stepped off the plane, but he had other plans.

What actually happened next was amazingly romantic.

As each passenger left the plane, they presented Trabue with a long-stemmed red rose.

It was a scene straight out of a Hollywood movie.

Trabue received so many roses one by one from her fiancé's fellow passengers that she began to wonder when she was finally going to be able to reunite with him. She'd already waited so long.

But he had one last surprise for her in store.

When the Airman First Class finally stepped out of the plane and into the terminal, she ran towards to him to give him a big hug.

He pulled away from the embrace and knelt down.

At long last. It was the in-person proposal that the pair hadn't been able to have while he was away in training, and it was beyond beautiful.

Congrats to the happy couple, and kudos on the picture perfect proposal.
