The Dutch pranksters behind the "Dit Is Normal" YouTube channel are back with a pretty eye-opening social experiment. It comes as a response to the mounting prejudice Muslims face in Western cultures.
"Muslims have been accused of following a religion that has no place in the Western culture," the guys explain in the video.
But what is the basis of this prejudice?
To put some things in perspective, the pranksters disguised the Bible as the Quran then read some "of the most gruesome verses" to passersby on the street. The unsuspecting passersby were led to believe they were being read verses from the Quran, not the bible.
"If you reject my commands and abhor my laws," reads a verse from the bible, disguised as the Quran.
"You will eat the flesh of your own sons... and the flesh of your own daughters."
"I do not allow for a woman to teach."
"If two men sleep with each other they will both have to be killed."
"If you've been raised with this book and these kinds of thoughts, it's going to influence the way you think," a passerby comments.
"Cutting off people's hands... I mean, apparently that's just the way they are," a young woman says.
"The Bible is a lot less harsh and a bit more peaceful," another man adds.

The experiment is some serious food for thought on how prejudiced we can be about things we do not understand fully.
