Science isn't all done in clean white lab coats; some of it requires getting down and dirty with the species being studied. For those studying how a particular animal reproduces, it can even involve manually stimulating them. 

That's right: animal masturbation.

As DNews explains, while the job of stimulating an animal might not seem glamorous, it provides an incredible amount of important information about, say, mating habits and the mysteries of the female orgasm. It may also be necessary for getting animals to reproduce.
