Make way, Elf on the Shelf.
Every November since 2012, writer Refe Tuma and his wife, Susan, make Dinosaurs some to life while their children sleep. They get into trouble, dirty tables, try to bake and even take other action figures captive.
In a Medium article, Tuma explains why he and his wife devote their time to pose these creatures for an entire month:
In the age of iPads and Netflix, we don't want our kids to lose their sense of wonder and imagination. In a time when the answers to all the world's questions are a web-search away, we want our kids to experience a little mystery. All it takes is some time and energy, creativity, and a few plastic dinosaurs. While this kind of creativty requires work, and not be for every parent, the kids aren't the only ones who get to see the mischief.
Check out some of the set-ups below. These dinos are a handful.
