Top Designer Launches #YouBeYou, A Spring Campaign Encouraging Women To Be Themselves

This is awesome.

Karlie Kloss has a lot going on.

She hosts a YouTube channel entitled Klossy, studies computer coding at New York University, partners with the Flatiron School on the Kode with Karlie Scholarship, collaborates on Karlie's Kookies in pursuit of a baking career, and oh yeah, she's a high fashion supermodel, too.

So it's no surprise that she's the star of fashion designer's Diane von Furstenberg's latest #YouBeYou campaign, which celebrates "happiness, renewal, and the power of confidence" in each and every unique woman.

In a video launching DVF's Spring 2016 collection — filled with bright bold floral prints, metallic details, and, of course, the signature DVF wrap dress — Kloss and von Furstenberg have an unfiltered conversation about being a powerful woman.

"I've grown up surrounded by strong women," Kloss begins. "And no one ever told you 'you can't do this because you're a girl'?" von Furstenberg adds. "Just the opposite — it almost felt like I wanted things more."

In an interview with the brand, Kloss says that #YouBeYou is an important reminder that our differences are worth celebrating.

Moreover, she says, "Diane once told me that it's a true privilege and duty to use your voice to help and support people who may not have a voice. Seeing her live this value every day by sharing her platform and giving back is very cool."
