Former NFL Player, Devon Still, Announces His Daughter Is Cancer Free

The whole nation followed this story.

You may remember Devon Still — the former NFL Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle who quit football to take care of his daughter, Leah. She has been battling cancer since June of 2014.

Leah was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, an often deadly condition, common in infants and children.

"Our whole world just flipped upside down," said Still in a video posted on a site for Leah. "I don't want to lose my daughter. And it scares me to death that she has a chance of not being here. She's my best friend, I love that girl to death. I don't know how I would be able to hold myself together if something ever happened to her."

But right before Thanksgiving, Still took to Instagram to announce some great news: Leah's cancer is in remission.

"Thanks for all the support and prayers!" he captioned the post. "Just got the phone call that her scans showed NED (no evidence of disease)! #LeahStrong#StillKickinCancersAss"

And through it all, Leah managed to keep her positive attitude. It's an amazing story of resilience, and we wanted to send our absolute best wishes to the Still family.
