Paris-based photographer Dani Olivier takes artistic nude photography into the realm of the surreal, applying modern technology in the form of video mapping and light projection to the natural, organic beauty of the human female form.
"The female body is beautiful and I am working to produce beautiful images," Olivier told The Huffington Post. "A woman's body is eternal. For ten thousand years, it has had the same ... curves, the same shape, the same rhythm, and it is something to admire. I developed my technique with models about eight years ago. I knew there was a lot of potential after I experimented with a few lights and designs."
His technique is deceptively simple. The models are shot against a black background, wear minimal makeup, and wear no accessories. Complex patterns of light and color are projected directly onto them and photographed by Olivier.
There are no touch-ups, no post-production enhancements.
The final result is a hypnotic and nearly hallucinatory play of light and flesh, folding and unfolding into each other in an ethereal display of beauty's liquid geometry.
