This Dad's Hilarious Tooth Fairy Letter To His Son Is Expert-Level Parenting

"We have detected more than trace amounts of Fanta™ and residual amounts of both cereal and chocolate ... "

Some parents try to teach their children a lesson by sitting them down and having a calm, rational discussion. Others, like Henry Warren, write strongly-worded letters posing as the tooth fairy.

"Barry T. Tooth Fairy," that is.

In a picture posted to Twitter on September 5, Warren explained that his "son is dreadful at brushing his teeth," so, of course, "the Tooth Fairy has had enough."

Written on official stationary from "The Desk of Barry T. Tooth Fairy," the hilarious letter painstakingly details each and every dental debacle committed by "Mr. Warren" that has led them to this unfortunate moment:

"This letter is to inform you that I have now taken receipt of your tooth and it is being duly processed in our system.

You will have noticed there has been a delay in your payment for the tooth. Mr. Warren, I have to inform you that this is due to the condition in which we found said tooth. We expect a certain amount of wear and tear on the teeth we appraise. However, in this case your tooth had to be referred up to the committee for further analysis.

We believe this is due to the lack of care and attention by yourself. We have detected more than trace amounts of Fanta™ and residual amounts of both cereal and chocolate which have not been removed by appropriate brushing technique."

Barry T. Tooth Fairy concluded his letter by recommending Mr. Warren "review your practice here as a matter of urgency." He also noted that while he and his associates would "accept the tooth on this occasion," they would withhold payment for any and all future teeth if their condition was not "significantly better."

Since its posting, the firm, but fair(y), warning has received a few thousand likes and retweets, not to mention tons of praise from parents who can relate to Warren's plight all too well.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, nine out of ten dentists agree.

And though Barry T. Tooth Fairy seems like quite the reasonable and forgiving mythical creature, hopefully that'll be the last letter he writes — for Mr. Warren's sake.
