Single Dad Learns To Do His Daughter's Hair By Watching YouTube Tutorials, And Her Different Styles Are So Adorable

“Fathers set the tone in a girl’s life and there’s no greater bond."

From NFL players learning to do pigtails and braids to a dad who turned to cosmetology school to teach him different styles, more and more dads are proudly defying gender stereotypes by learning to do their daughter's hair. The practice helps to ensure their girls leave the house feeling good about their hair, but it also helps fathers and daughters bond.

Take Mike, a single dad and his 6-year-old daughter, Asia, for instance. Mike learned to do her hair by watching YouTube videos online and practicing.

Now, the two are inseparable and bond over doing hair and dressing up. "Fathers set the tone in a girl's life and there's no greater bond," Mike said in a video for Redbook

From bows to buns to intricate braids, it's clear Mike has seriously refined his skills. He supports Asia's personal sense of style by encouraging her to express herself through hair and fashion.

Mike posts photos and videos of the adorable pair on his Instagram account which has over 865,000 followers. He shares how-tos to inspire other dads, shows videos of her just being a happy kid, and celebrates Asia's versatile looks. Asia also has her own Instagram account in which she posts some of her favorite photos with her dad who doubles as a best friend.

People are totally in love with the pair. Redbook's video on this father-daughter duo has been watched over 250,000 times and is filled with positive comments.

"Great job dad. I love seeing this. The love between a parent and a child is so special and she is going to have the greatest memories to tell her children about someday," one commenter wrote.

"This is what a father looks like. Awesome!!! No better impact then the memories you are making with your child," another wrote.

We love how devoted this dad is to making sure his daughter is happy and feels confident in her own skin. Asia is a pretty lucky little girl to have such a great role model who's now a pretty talented personal hairstylist.

We'd love to see even more dads learn from Mike's example.
