A woman went to Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego to cosplay. She was dressed as "Space Girl."
Soon, things got weird for the woman. Guys were staring at her.
The staring became creepy.
Guys started to speak to her.
And they kept asking for her photo.
Some wanted to be in the photo and to speak to her.
One "pervert" went too far ...
... really far.
The woman in the video was Lauren Francesca, a YouTube star who recently posed for Playboy. She attended Comic-Con 2015 to shoot a Playboy video called 10 Hours of Walking Around Comic-Con as a Female Cosplayer, which was meant to mimic the popular Youtube video 10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman.
While intended to be a spoof, the video showed a side of the sci-fi world that is rarely seen. Comic-Con events have been a breeding ground for sexual harassment, such as groping, stalking, upskirting and unwanted photographing. There's even a group called Geeks for CONsent that allows women to share their tales of sexual harassment at Comic-Con events.
Because cosplay is not consent.
