10-Year-Old's Sweet Love Letter To His Injured Girlfriend Shows You're Never Too Young To Be A Romantic

"You still make my day when I get to see your beautiful smile."

We often think of adults as being the romantics of the world, but kids know a thing or two about matters of the heart.

One little boy named Cole is proving this at the tender age of 10.

Cole wrote his girlfriend Sherri a love letter after she tore her ACL playing soccer. His cousin Gabriella then posted the letter on Twitter, and just reading it will give you a toothache — it's that sweet.

" Dear Sherri, I'm so sorry that you broke your knee. I will miss watching you play soccer, and I'm sorry that you won't be able to play softball for a while. But I know you will heal quickly, and I will get to watch you play again soon. Although you can't play sports, you still make my day when I get to see your beautiful smile. God has a plan for all of us and sometimes it's hard for us to understand why thing[s] happen to us. My dad tells me that God only allows things to happen that He knows we can handle. You are a pretty, nice, funny, and strong girl that is also a good friend. You will get through this quickly. Please let me know how I can help during your recovery. I hope you recover fast and get well soon. Your friend, Cole"

Not only did Cole pen an adorable letter, he also gave Sherri a cookie cake and a teddy bear.

Whoever said that the art of writing love letters was dated just needs to look at Cole's heartfelt and adorable note to his girlfriend.

The letter has been circulating on many social media channels, and people are expressing how sweet they find it. One Facebook user commented on the Love What Matters page, "Oh my goodness. The adorableness of this is about killing me. What beautiful, special children they both are."

Cole and Sherri not only have each other, they now have a bunch of admirers. Cole's tender letter to his girlfriend shows everyone that there is no age restriction on being a romantic or expressing your love to someone. The heart is never too young or old to feel.
