Chvrches and their lead singer Lauren Mayberry recently appeared on BBC 1's Live Lounge. While on the show, the Scottish synth-pop band tackled one of the summer's biggest hits, "This is What You Came For."

The song, originally by Calvin Harris and Rihanna, currently has more than 500 million views on YouTube, so it was certainly no easy task to add a unique spin to such a familiar song. Luckily, the "Keep You On My Side" singer has plenty of vocal talents to tackle this trancey-techno track while reminding us why we loved the original so much at the same time.

Backed by her equally talented band, Mayberry and Chvrches do an awesome job paying their respects to the original while reinventing the pop song to fit their own unique tastes. Just listen to how that chorus drops out and falls deftly into their iconic pop-and-pause synth sound.

It's never easy to cover a track by one of music's biggest artists, let alone two. Listen to Mayberry and Chvrches tip the hat to Rihanna and Calvin Harris below:

Be sure to check out their performance of “Bury It” as well.
