Starbucks Is Introducing A Brand New Holiday Drink
Say hello to the Chestnut Praline Latte
In the last five years Starbucks hasn't released a single new holiday drink. It's hard to believe that we managed to survive this drought of designer cofee drinks, but somehow we pulled through and now—at venti last—comes a holiday miracle courtesy of the coffeeshop that banned the word "small" and will gladly serve you a $61 frapuccino.
In an recent press release, the company announced "the arrival of the first new holiday handcrafted beverage in five years..."
Behold the Chestnut Praline Latte.
It won't be available nationwide until Nov.12, but photos of the drink have emerged online from excited patrons who got to try the drink at select stores.
The drink itself is a mixture of espresso and steamed milk. Then they add caramelized chestnuts and top it off with whipped cream and crumbled pralines.
Like roasted chestnuts by the fire. Except at Starbucks.
