How did you or how do you plan on spending your 24th birthday? Well, no matter what you answer, we highly doubt it'll be as big as what Chance the Rapper did for his this past weekend.
The Grammy-winning rapper threw a big birthday bash at Chicago's Studio Paris Nightclub on Sunday, April 16, and used the night as an opportunity to once again give back to those who need help the most. When all was said and done, $100,000 had been raised for charity.
That money — raised from the selling of tickets to the general public from $100 to $2,500 — will go to SocialWorks, Chance's organization that empowers the youth of Chicago through the arts, education, and civil engagement while fostering leadership, accessibility, and positivity within the community.
"The night was a huge success with Chance's ability to rally the community to donate for a great cause," the managing partner of Studio Paris, R.J. Melman, told Page Six. "We are proud to play a part in it and are honored to have been chosen by Chance as the place to throw his party."
Chance's birthday cake was also the star of the night, designed to look like a Harold's Chicken Shack bucket with wings and French fries spewing over the top. And, just to give it the added punch, there was even a strawberry-flavored Mistic drink there, too.
In addition to coming together for a good cause, those who attended "Chance the Birthday" were treated to performances by the birthday boy himself, as well as Ludacris and T-Pain. At one point the crowd got more than they bargained for when all three of the guys came together to sing "All I Do Is Win" like it was 2010 all over again.
We can't wait to see what this guy does for his 25th birthday!
