Here's How This 5-Year-Old Creates Mesmerizing Galaxy Paintings And Helps People At The Same Time

She's like a modern-day Picasso.

Instead of painting pictures of her family like most 5-year-olds, Cassandra Gee has opted for something much bigger: galaxies.

Cassie, who lives in Sydney, Australia, began painting as a way for her mother, Linda Gee, to keep her quiet and occupied one day.

"I have a lot of supplies, as I paint for a hobby. I gave her the canvas and the paints, and said, 'Go do something,'" Gee said to The Daily Telegraph in 2016. "She came back with it and I said, 'Oh my God, that's better than mine.'"

Now, Cassie has Cassie Swirls, a website and accompanying social media platforms where she can share and sell abstract patterned paintings she creates using the simple touch of a fork or skewer. The occasional glitter is also thrown in.

With 100 paintings and more in the works, a portion of the money Cassie makes from selling these pieces go towards charities that help women, children, cancer patients, and more. So far, she's raised $750
