James Corden's Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late Late Show has been one of our favorite things on television since the host premiered his first installment with Mariah Carey in 2015. If there was a way to watch all of our favorite artists singing along to their greatest hits in one car, we would. Unfortunately, it would have to be a pretty big car. So we'll settle for an entertaining mash-up or two instead.
James Corden gave us one just last month when he premiered a very special holiday version of the segment, featuring past guests singing along to Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You." But there's another mash-up that features even more stars, and it has us dancing our way into 2017.
YouTuber AnDyWuMUSICLAND created an addictive "megamix" of every Carpool Karaoke guest James Corden has driven, from Adele to Bruno Mars, with Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and more in between. Even First Lady Michelle Obama shows up. According to the video's description, it was created as "an introductory video for James Corden on YouTube Brandcast 2016."
As you would expect, the results are positively euphoric. As Corden himself said of the unofficial start of the segment with George Michael in 2011, "There's a joy in here."
Hits from various featured artists are included in the mix, with the last third of the video focused around Madonna's "Music." As the guests dance and laugh along with the host, we hear this fitting line: "Music makes the people come together." And that's just what we'll be doing as we enjoy all the fun the show has in store for us this year.
Dance along to the full mash-up in the video below:
