Tuesday night marked 16-year-old Calysta Bevier's second time performing on America's Got Talent.
The last time we saw her, during her audition, Simon Cowell was pushing the Golden Buzzer to send her straight into the live rounds for her stunning rendition of Rachel Platten's "Fight Song."
This time Calysta chose to perform a new song that's just as inspiring — "Brave" by Sara Bareilles.
As a Stage 3 ovarian cancer survivor, Calysta brought a deeply personal emotion to the performance that moved the audience to applause. As she sang, the song's lyrics were projected onto the back of the piano behind her, a simple way to convey a big message.
Watching Calysta's performance just might give you goosebumps. If nothing else, it will definitely inspire you to be brave in your own life.
The judges were beyond impressed with Calysta's performance.
"You're more than a great artist, Calysta," Simon Cowell told her. "You're a very special person. And you really, truly are an inspiration."
He added how proud of her he was and how much he hoped fans would vote for her "perfect song choice."
Howie Mandel agreed, telling Calysta, "There's so much more beyond the singing. And this is the first flawless performance of this night tonight on this stage."
