For those who don't know the pain of rocking a pair of heels, any amount of time will prove a challenge. But an entire day? That's bound to be disastrously hilarious.
In a video for Buzzfeed, four men are given a pair of high heels to wear throughout their workday. The experiment starts with a morning earthquake drill and ends with an evening happy hour.
Over the course of the video, the guys get their heels stuck in grass, suffer from massive blisters, complain a ton, and "waddle" around town to get food.
"Nothing that good could be comfortable," one of the guys says.
Initially, the video's vibes are relatively optimistic. However, things quickly go south.
"This is a f*cking mess. How am I supposed to walk in this?" one guy asks the moment he gets the shoes on.
"Dude, it's like standing in quicksand."
"We're walking to lunch now. Well, some of us are walking. Some of us are waddling. Literally limping."
"He looks like a damn Tyrannosaurus rex."
Final thoughts? "Mom, aunties, cousins, sisters that I don't have, women in general, I applaud you so highly."
This isn't the first time that men have tried walking in heels.
The organization and international men's march Walk a Mile in Her Shoes gives men the opportunity "to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes, effects and remediations to men's sexualized violence against women," according to its website.
Because until you walk in someone else's shoes, you can't fully understand their experiences, their perspectives, or their reality.
