Can we make this a trend?

18-Year-Old Dresses Up In Suit And Tie To Meet His Newborn Niece Because 'First Impressions Matter'

Most people want to look nice when they know they'll be in photos, but that's not why Grant Kessler got dressed up to meet his new niece.

The 18-year-old surprised his family when he showed up to the hospital decked out in a suit and tie. You see, Kessler's older sister Olivia had just given birth to a baby girl she named Carter, and he wanted to start the whole uncle thing off on the right foot.

On Tuesday, Kessler's younger sister, Iris, posted a photo of him in the suit on Twitter and captioned it, "My sister is about to have a baby and my brother showed up to the hospital in a suit because 'first impressions matter.' "

People who saw the post admired Kessler's efforts so much that it has since been shared over 137,000 times and favorited more than 448,000 on Twitter to date.

Many people wouldn't put that much effort into meeting a newborn because the baby won't remember it, but to Kessler it was worth it.

"While everyone was dressed casually, I was wearing a suit," he told USA TODAY. "I do think that first impressions matter a lot and I wanted Carter to look back on that day with photos and see the attention she was getting."

Kessler may be new to this whole uncle thing, but we think he's already setting a great example for baby Carter.
