Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and 5 Seconds of Summer have given their fans a reason to say "TGIF" today.

The three pop sensations each released a new single — just in time to vie for the top honor of being deemed 2016's "Song of the Summer."

Britney Spears collaborated with G-Eazy on the first single off a confirmed upcoming ninth studio album. "Make Me" is Spears' first single since releasing "Pretty Girls" with Iggy Azalea last summer and her last album, Britney Jean, in 2013.

With hard-hitting accents and a pulsating chorus beat, this dance-pop/slow jam hybrid will make hot summer nights even steamier. The song is available to purchase on iTunes and to listen to on Apple Music

Another pop diva making her long-awaited musical return is Katy Perry with the surprise release of an otherworldly pop epic. If "E.T." and "Dark Horse"" had a baby and read the lyrics of "Roar" to it as a bedtime story every night, the result would be "Rise."

Perry's first new song in two years, "Rise" comes as a stand-alone single with no confirmation of an upcoming album. "I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite," she said in a statement.

Because of its inspirational lyrics and dramatic rhythm, the NBC Olympics chose it as its anthem for the 2016 Rio Games. "This is a song that's been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface," Perry continued. "I know that together we can rise above the fear — in our country, and around the world. I can't think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness ..."

As with Spears' single, "Rise" is also available to purchase on iTunes and listen to on Apple Music

While both Britney and Katy's singles were welcome surprises, the release of 5 Seconds of Summer's latest song "Girls Talk Boys" purposefully coincided with the Ghostbusters premiere, as one of the original songs from the movie's soundtrack.

In theaters everywhere today, fans won't just enjoy watching the new Ghostbusters, but listening to it, too. Featuring a delightfully nostalgic '80s pop-influenced chorus, "Girls Talk Boys" tips its hat to the Thompson Twins' "In the Name of Love" from the OG Ghostbusters 1984 soundtrack.

Both soundtracks are available on Apple Music and Spotify

Expect to hear all three songs on this weekend's party playlists.
