Britney Spears made her return to the MTV Video Music Awards stage on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden to perform her new hit record, "Make Me …" This single can be found on her ninth studio album, Glory.
Spears began her performance as a scintillating silhouette, hidden behind three thinly veiled curtains. As a pair of hands lifted up the curtains, Spears stepped out dressed in a half-nude, half-yellow-glitter jumpsuit, with some matching heels.
In full form, Spears hit her moves with the precision we expect from a VMA veteran. Toward the middle of the performance, her partner in rhyme, G-Eazy, stepped out from behind the curtains to deliver his verse off her lead single.
As a special surprise, the music then transitioned into G-Eazy's hit track, "Me, Myself & I." Instead of Bebe Rexha's vocals, Spears belted out the chorus and got cozy next to the man dressed in black. Midway through the number, she then returned back to her song as they finished out their performance of "Make Me …"
