Most people don't go to a place because of the hotel they'll be staying in, but these places will make you want to. Luckily, they're all in pretty incredible places that are worth the trip.
All of these hotels have out-of-the-ordinary features that make them seriously special. Yeah, sleeping in the body of a giant wooden beagle may seem bizarre at first thought, but that bed-and-breakfast is beautiful.

This hotel double as an art exhibition. As you may have guessed, Icehotel is made completely from natural ice and snow. During the spring, the hotel melts until the following year when various artists and designers come in to change it up. There are usually about 65 rooms in total, but it can vary from year to year.

Yep, it's exactly what you think. Giraffe Manor let's you have a one-of-a-kind experience chilling with giraffes. They'll pop their heads into your window, and you can pet them and give them treats.

Each room at the Au Vieux Panier hotel is unique because it's been individually designed by artists. This is another hotel whose rooms change from year to year.
5. Hotel Kakslauttanen in Finland
Cozy up with your loved ones in one of the glass igloos or rustic log cabins the Hotel Kakslauttanen has to offer. It's another one-of-a-kind place to experience the northern lights.
6. Attrap' Réves in France
Ever wanted to feel like you were in a snow globe? This hotel is for you. You can sleep under the stars and be one with nature all within the comfort of this bubble hotel.
7. Boscolo Milano in Italy
At the Boscolo Milano, you'll enjoy avant-garde designed matched with unconventional elegance. The decor of this place is out of this world.
8. Das Park Hotel in Austria and Germany
Whether you're in Austria or Germany, you can spend a night sleeping in a pipe. Much like capsule hotels, Das Park Hotel gives you everything you need without wasting space. They have a "pay as you wish" system so guests only pay as much as they want or can afford.
9. The Hobbit Motel in New Zealand
Live life like a hobbit for a night by staying at this motel in Woodlyn Park.

Yep, this hotel is underwater. Enough said.
11. Dog Bark Park Inn in Idaho
This bed-and-breakfast has one clear theme: beagles. Once your climb up the stairs into the huge beagle that is your hotel room, you'll be treated to dog themed pillows, books, and cookies. The best part? The toilet looks like a fire hydrant. Only four guests can stay here at a time, so be sure to book in advance.
12. Palacio de Sal in Bolivia
This hotel may not seem all that special at first glance until you realize it's made entirely out of salt. That includes the walls, floors, ceilings, beds and chairs. Just so you know, guests are prohibited from licking the walls.
13. Hotel Marqués de Riscal in Spain
This hotel is located on a hilltop with uniquely shaped rooms and a footbridge with a killer view. Columns raise the hotel above everything else on the hill. The colorful metal canopies on the building add a unique aesthetic, but they also serve a sustainable sunshades and temperature modulators.
