You've Never Seen A Music Video Like This Before, Trust Us

You'll want to see the end of this video.

Viktoria Modesta is here to redefine your perception about disability one song at a time.

The 26-year-old British singer-songwriter voluntarily had her left leg removed below the knee to ease mobility after suffering a birth injury. Since then, she has pursued a music career, earning her the title of "The World's First Bionic Pop Star."

And now, Modesta's music video "Prototype" has just put her in the limelight.

The music video premiered during a commercial break in the December 14th finale of the United Kingdom's "The X Factor," and had an estimated 10 million viewers.

"Prototype" shows Modesta in Lady Gaga-like outfits with one very important addition -- a prosthetic leg. Watch until the very end to see her wear an impressive sharp, metal spike in place of a prosthetic.

The video was released by Channel 4 as part of their "Born Risky" campaign, aiming to uncover things that are "new, alternative and different," according to their site.

The press release reveals Modesta's motivation for choosing to do the video and become a pop star icon:

For a long time, pop culture closed its doors on me as an amputee and alternative artist. I think people have always found it hard to know what to think or feel about an amputee who wasn't trying to be an Olympian. In sports, 'overcoming' a disability makes you a hero, but in pop there is no place for these feelings.I have never felt comfortable thinking of myself as disabled and this has inspired me to actively challenge old-fashioned views and create a platform in mainstream pop-culture, with other artists, where I have always known I belonged.
