Billie Lourd Thanks Fans For Support And Strength After Carrie Fisher And Debbie Reynolds' Deaths

"Your love and support means the world to me."

Since Star Wars star Carrie Fisher's death, and the death of her mother, legendary actress Debbie Reynolds, only a day later, many have kept Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd in their thoughts and prayers. The 24-year-old Scream Queens actress has understandably remained quiet on social media in the past week, but on Monday she took a moment to pay tribute to her mother and grandmother, as well as thank fans for their support in light of a devastating loss.

Lourd took to Instagram to post a sweet picture of herself when she was a little girl, making a funny face beside Fisher and Reynolds. "Receiving all your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist," she wrote.

"There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby," she continued. "Your love and support means the world to me."

Last year, Lourd spoke to People about her mother and grandmother shortly after they debuted their documentary Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds at Cannes. She described both women as "incredible."

"I'm always proud of my mother, she's killing it right now," she said of Fisher. Lourd will reportedly care for her mother's emotional support dog Gary following her death, as Fisher had wished. She will also appear with her mother in Star Wars: Episode VIII, as she did in The Force Awakens. Fisher finished filming her scenes for the upcoming film last year.

Tributes have poured in for both actresses since their deaths, from fans and colleagues alike. According to TMZ, Fisher and Reynolds will be buried side by side at Forest Lawn in Burbank, Calif., in a joint funeral attended by family and friends, with a public memorial coming later.
