5 Models Get Super Real About Body Image, And We Are So About It

"All people should be accepted as valid and human."

Model Behavior is an A Plus series featuring fashion models who promote body positivity, and work to create inclusivity and diversity within the industry by expanding our definition of conventional beauty.

Earlier this summer, model Barbie Ferreira addressed body shamers in an empowering video for Glamour magazine with the hopes that it would encourage more self-love for all those watching.

Now, Ferreira's posing alongside four other models in Teen Vogue's "body party shoot," a shoot celebrating women of all shape and sizes in the industry.

And in a behind-the-scenes video, each of the models open up about their bodies while talking about diversity, body positivity, inclusiveness, and more.

Check out some of our favorite quotes below:

1. "I felt very excluded, personally, just because nobody was talking about my body type. I saw Barbie [Ferreira] pop up ... we have the same body type. I'm so happy that finally women my size are getting integrated into media like we deserve to."

2. "When people talk about diversity they kind of have one specific thing. It's like, oh, they're going to be Black models on the runway now. Or like trans people are cool now — when it should just be like all people who are not mass murderers or something like that. All people should be accepted as valid and human."

3. "My body started to come back to this natural size ... I know how to be size zero and I know how to be a size 12. And now I know how to be size six."

4. "Your body gets you going. Every day, you wake up — that's what's there. You have you, and your body."

5. "There's so much more to life than how you look."
