On the side of a building, two women perform a vertical dance number that makes them appear weightless.
The dancers are from Bandaloop, a pioneer performance group that, according to its website, "weaves dynamic physicality, intricate choreography and the art of climbing to turn the dance floor on its side." This is meant to "honor nature, community and the human spirit by bringing dance to new audiences, activating public and natural spaces, and re-imagining what dance can be."
And in a video for Harper's Bazaar magazine, performers Rebecca Dean and Jessica Swanson further explain how this kind of dancing induces positive emotions, which can help them feel more free and joyful in their everyday lives. The slow-motion footage showcases their incredible flips, leaps, spins, and beyond.
"It allows me, personally, to do anything I would like to do in my dreams," one says.
