One question has plagued humanity from the beginning of our time: What is the meaning of life?
While the answer to that might never be found, Jason Silva, the host of National Geographic's Brain Games, can tell you a thing or two about the "miracle of life."
Specifically, Silva held a baby and delivered some astonishing information about human life that went a little like this:
Somehow, a piece of software melded together, fused, and it started to turn itself into a living, breathing, like a steak with a brain. You're meat that grew up inside your mother. ... Now, you're grasping all this amazing information as you map and model the world; you're growing, you're learning, you're expanding, you're slowly emerging as a thinking being. And it's like, 'oh my god, this is what it's like to be a mind!' You're transcendent!
Super intense, right? Needless to say, this baby's mind was completely blown.
Seriously, look at that expression.
OK, so the baby might not have understood a single word of it, but, still. If this wee human could comprehend words, this would probably be the exact reaction we'd see, too.
