If you've ever had a painfully awkward text message exchange from a potential romantic partner, you're far from alone. Once the nerves set in, people's fingers put together some seriously weird sentences to send to the person they're into.
That much is obvious after the latest "First Textual Experience" segment on The Tonight Show. In it, host Jimmy Fallon is joined by actor and comedian Aziz Ansari to dramatically read some real-life text message exchanges between people trying to court others.
"Did you fall from heaven, because based on your picture, I think you might be an angle," Ansari read, looking straight into the camera and trying his hardest not to laugh.
"An acute or obtuse one?" Jimmy replied.
One thing's for sure: Autocorrect isn't always your friend.
From one person really, really wanting to know how other's Fourth of July was going to another knowing exactly how to turn someone down in one word, the whole segment is hilarious. Although it did give us some awkward flashbacks.
