Photographer Brings A Family Together Again With A Special Touch To Their Wedding Pictures

"THIS is my family. And we will be together again."

On her wedding day, Anna Bozman Thompson's son, Lake, couldn't be there. But she felt his presence.

As reported by The Huffington Post, Thompson and her husband Travis wed without their son, Lake, who passed away from cancer when he was just eight years old.

"I do know that ️Lake has been watching over us especially when we got married," Anna writes in a Facebook post. "He made sure that it would be a day that none of us would forget."

Anna also adds that taking family photos without her son proved, understandably, very difficult.

"It was almost unbearable to take family pictures without him," Anna writes. "I could feel my emotions taking over after the ceremony when it was time to take pictures. I became anxious and almost irritated but I knew these pictures had to be taken."

But one photographer was able to turn Anna's pictures into beautiful memories — with Lake.

In her wedding photo, Anna stands alongside Travis with their two children. As the sun shines behind the couple, the children smile at the camera, one wearing a bowtie and the other a flower crown.

And then just there to the left stands Lake, a silhouette emerging from the peaceful field, smiling with his family.

According to Anna's post, the wedding photographer, Brandy Angel, photoshopped Lake into their photo so that the family could feel whole on their special day. According to the award-winning photographer's website, Angel aims to capture emotion in her work to tell one's story through pictures.

And Anna's emotional photograph speaks louder than words.

"I needed this picture more than she or anyone could ever know. THIS is my family. And we will be together again," Anna concludes.
