Watch Anna Kendrick Tell One Woman's Life Story Through Popular Songs

With the help of James Corden and Billy Eichner.

The last time Anna Kendrick was on The Late Late Show, she and host James Corden acted out the story of a romance by singing popular songs. On Monday night, Anna returned to the show for yet another musical journey, this time telling the story of one woman's life, from birth to having it all.

She got some help from her fictional love James and fellow guest Billy Eichner, host of Billy on the Street, who took on the role of Anna's loving father. James introduced the sketch with an iconic quote from Ferris Bueller: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Things begin with Anna coming into the world to the tune of Adele's "Hello."

Eventually, Anna grows up and starts working "9 to 5," and she's a total boss.

Soon Anna and her husband James have a baby of their own. Isn't "The Circle of Life" beautiful?

As James explains at the beginning, the entire performance involves 14 songs, 10 sets, and one take. And they do it all in just five minutes. He wasn't lying — life does move pretty fast.
