Tuesday night marked the first episode of judge cuts on this season of America's Got Talent. The acts that already made it through the audition round had to prove to the judges that they're worthy of a spot in the live shows.
Everyone's favorite fedora-wearer Ne-Yo joined the panel as a guest judge, which meant the coveted Golden Buzzer was once again up for grabs, even though all four regular judges (plus Nick Cannon) had already pushed it.
Ne-Yo held out for awhile until he found the perfect act — magician Jon Dorenbos.
If you're a football fan, you might recognize Jon's name from his position as the long snapper for the Philadelphia Eagles. Turns out he's a man of many talents, and one of them is blowing people's minds with card tricks.
Jon starts by having Ne-Yo pick a card. The trick is a slow build, with a few fake-outs and jokes thrown in. But it's all worth it when Jon appears to manipulate paper and ink before the judges' very eyes.
When it comes time for Ne-Yo to give his critique, he's speechless. He simply stares at Jon in amazement and checks under the table for something to explain the mind-bending trick.
"Can I do something?" he finally asks before slamming his hand down on the Golden Buzzer.
