America Ferrara Talks Feeling 'Grateful' For Her Body Following Her First Triathlon

"I'm so grateful that I'm able to do this."

Last night, guests made their way down the red carpet at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards, stopping for photos and conversation with the evening's interviewers.

Among them was America Ferrara, star of NBC's Superstore, who spoke with Giuliana Rancic about her first triathlon feat just a day before the award show.

When asked how she got through it, Ferrara tells Rancic on E! Live from the Red Carpet: "I'm just so grateful for my body and how healthy it is and how strong it is and that I'm able, you know. That was my one main thought, was, I'm so grateful that I'm able to do this."

Ferrara explains how she was inspired by a friend who completed their own triathlon to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

"And many family and friends of mine have suffered through cancer, and so doing it for a bigger cause was also incredibly inspiring," she continues. "Just kept my head in the right space, which is I have an able, beautiful, strong body and I couldn't be more grateful."

It's been said that confidence is the best accessory, and we think that Ferrara's interview and appearance at the Emmy's last night is proof of just that.
