This 10-Year-Old's Superhero Drawing Has Inspired A Slew Of Fan Art Creations

"She's a hero only to herself."

First we had Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider Man, and Captain America. But now there's a new superhero in town, and her name is Janet.

Janet was dreamed up by a 10-year-old Luca Roth while she was away at camp.

Luca's mom, Amanda Mancino-Williams, shared the drawing of Janet on Twitter on August 7, and it has since gone viral with over 16,000 retweets and 57,000 likes.

People are connecting with the drawing that shows Janet with green skin and dark eyes, wielding a bloody pair of scissors and "a twig that she smacks jerks down with." Luca's description reads, "Janet cuts people in half with giant scissors. (She's only a hero to herself.)"

Many are praising Luca for her imagination and drawing skills, and are encouraging her to keep creating.

Others are taking it a step further by creating fan art using the hashtags #Janet and #JanetIsComing.

Mancino-Williams told the Press Association, "She's always been the kind of child that's gets bored with the obvious. She mentioned that a lot of the other children were drawing pink-clad princess types and muscled men so, being Luca, she wanted to make a stand-alone."

Luca chose to name her superhero "Janet" because she could be anybody, yet she's not like anybody. The 10-year-old drew inspiration from Stephen King works after discussing them with her mom. Luca, with the help of Mancino-Williams, explained to Cosmopolitan that "she's really strong, in her mind and her body, and she does her own thing. She doesn't have time for jerks. And she doesn't give warnings. Janet is my perfect hero."

Based on the positive response from online, the Internet agrees.
