It's a bold move for a contestant on "The Voice" to audition with a coach's song, but if they do it right, amazing things can happen.

On Tuesday night's new episode, Lauren Diaz sang one of Alicia Keys' biggest hits, "If I Ain't Got You." Lucky for her, Alicia liked what she heard before Lauren even reached the chorus. The coach quickly slammed the button to turn her chair around.

Alicia offered encouragement for the rest of Lauren's performance. Her strong voice inspired both Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton to turn around, even though it was pretty obvious they didn't stand a chance of being chosen as her coach.

Lauren burst into tears when she finished singing, and she only got more emotional when Alicia stepped on stage to give her a hug.

Lauren revealed that she grew up singing Alicia's songs on the piano, but she stopped when she had her son, who's now 4 years old. Alicia mentioned that she has a son of her own and shared why Lauren's performance impressed her so much. "The way you interpreted that song, that's the reason why I sing," she said. "And that's the reason why I see that you sing, so that you can touch somebody."

That's when Alicia began serenading Lauren with her audition song, inserting her name into the lyrics to ask her to join her team.

It should come as no surprise that Lauren ultimately went with Alicia, even though she admitted that her son wanted her to pick Blake.
