13 Popular Albums That Weirdly Fit Perfectly Mashed Together With Classical Art

Ariana Grande's is flawless.

If the album cover fits, wear it.

Filipino graphic artist Eisen Bernardo has a real knack for fitting one work of art into another. His project Mag+Art, a collection of magazine cover and classical painting mash-ups, became a huge hit on the Internet back in 2014. Then, one of Bernardo's artwork admirers suggested he try the same thing but with album covers instead of magazines.

So he did.

"It's more difficult but I gave it a try," Bernardo wrote in a description of the project. "I took the chance to make a series of digital collages featuring the studio album covers of some popular singers today. I used these album covers because they are simpler and straightforward."

It's pretty amazing how perfectly the albums fit onto the bodies of the people painted in classical portraits. Bernardo explains why: "I think the principles of photography are the same as classical painting. Portraiture using cameras adopted the same set of rules and techniques in painting."

Whatever the reason, it is bizarrely satisfying to look at.
