On Tuesday, Adam Sandler held the red carpet premiere for his latest film, The Do-Over, and he surprised the world by introducing his doppelgänger for the first time.
Twenty-three-year-old Max Kessler, an accountant, has always been told that he looks just like Adam Sandler. But things got a little weird for Kessler went he watched the online trailer for Sandler's upcoming Netflix movie.
It turns out that in the movie, Sandler's character's name is also Max Kessler.
"I watched the preview. At first, I was cracking up," Kessler told ABC News. "Then I was like, 'This is pretty freaky,' and then I was like, 'This has to be fake.' "
Kessler's friend posted a picture to Reddit comparing him to Sandler.
After the image went viral, it reached Sandler, who challenged Kessler to a funny face-off on Reddit. Sandler then invited him to his movie premiere and the after-party at Happy Madison studios.
Kessler told ABC News that Sandler was "very down-to-earth [and] funny." Sandler also enjoyed meeting his look-alike.
"It's a younger, sweeter, better version of me," Sandler told Entertainment Tonight. "He's a good kid. He's funny as hell, and I was happy to meet him."
"I definitely hope to stay in touch with him and hope to be alongside him in a movie in the future," Kessler said, according to E! Online. "If that doesn't happen, this has just been an incredible experience."
