She was a famous Mexican-American singer, songwriter and fashion designer who was tragically killed at the age of 23 in 1995 — right before her game-changing, English language crossover album was set for release.
To honor her life and her beauty, her fans are now asking MAC Cosmetics to create a limited edition line of makeup named for their icon.
Considering the fact that there are actually hundreds of "Selena Makeup Tutorials" circling around YouTube right now, it's easy to see why her fans have chosen to pay homage to her passion for glamour.

Selena would be so thrilled to know that her fans are keeping her legacy alive. And, as the petition points out, she really would be a perfect MAC girl.
Before her death, Selena was the spokesmodel for lots of brands including Coca-Cola and Agree Shampoo.
