Ed Miliband is currently the Leader of the British Labour Party. A key part of his campaign is gender equality. He's taking the lead with a 50 percent female Labour Cabinet team.
Now, he's calling on the Bond film franchise to follow his lead and join modern times by casting a female as the lead character of "James Bond."
Miliband's own first choice to play Bond is Rosamund Pike from "Gone Girl" fame. We think she'd be great, but it's so hard to pick a favorite.
1. Kate Beckinsale
There's so many movies she's starred in that have required her to be super physical that we're pretty sure she's fit enough to handle any villain.
2. Tilda Swinton
Not only is her look unforgettable, but she's not so overexposed that it would take away from the character. This Scottish actress has nailed every role she's had.
3. Maggie Denise Quigley
As the star of television's "Nikita," she's used to spies trying to sneak up on her... and she knows how to put them in their place.
4. Lupita Nyong'o
This recent Oscar-winner not only has the acting chops, but she's lived in Mexico, Kenya and the U.S. Sounds worldly enough to be a Bond.
5. Penolope Cruz
Who better to pair up with a number of Bond boys than Cruz? She's held her own and then some with a variety of top male actors in blockbuster action films as well as smaller dramas.
6. Cameron Diaz
Not only did she do some stunts in films like "Charlie's Angels," but she's an athlete in real life too. Cameron Diaz has had the perfect mixture of badass and romantic roles in her career. Sounds pretty Bondish to us.
7. Charlize Theron
When you think about all the eclectic roles she's taken on and nailed, you realize she has a talent for morphing herself into any character. Who else can do that? Bond, that's who.
8. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Bond is about good looks, devastating charm and an intimidating confidence. Here's one actress who has all that and experience in a spy movie.
9. Angelina Jolie
How has she not already been cast? Jolie epitomizes the kick-butt female actor. She's already been in a few spy films and knows her way around weaponry. Who hasn't watched Tomb Raider 1000 times?
10. Rosamund Pike
As master manipulator in "Gone Girl," this actress has a British accent, does "cunning" perfectly and is already Miliband's top pick.
Don't want to replace James? Maybe he should have a sister named Jane Bond.
Who would you and your friends pick to play JANE Bond?
