From lips to cakes, we've seen a lot of people get creative with their canvases. Most recently, though, we were impressed to see Turkish artist Garip Ay using water as his. This type of painting is an ancient Turkish method of painting known as ebru art.
Ay shows off his chops in a video where he recreates Vincent van Gogh's famous Starry Night using this method. He fills a box with water and then sprinkles paint to create the backdrop. He works various colors in swirling the water and tapping his paintbrush. The entire process is equally soothing as it is mesmerizing.
