Spanish photographer and art student Fran Carneros Rodríguez has some interesting ideas in his head. Luckily, he gives us a window into that strange world through his manipulated photographs.
In an email to A Plus, Rodríguez says his "absurd ideas" are inspired by everyday, real life experiences. "Sometimes the idea comes to me from a place, or an object, or an event," he writes. "Ideas are really just an excuse to carry out my photographs."
Rodríguez is inspired by other surrealist artists like Magritte, and says the aesthetic of Wes Anderson films has also impacted his work. "But one of the things that motivated me the most are the images of Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari from ToiletPaper Magazine," he explains.
Rodríguez says he hopes to continue to grow as artist and that he eventually would like to show his work at galleries and publish books of his images.
