If you're a fan of both fashion and art, looking at fashion sketches is likely a delightful experience. But it's even more of a treat when the artists of those sketches get creative with the mediums they use. In the past, we've shown you some of these sketches such as the designs that are brought to life using everyday objects and the looks whose cutouts are filled with cityscapes. Now, we'd like to introduce you to Chan Clayrene, an incredibly talented artist who uses nail polish to paint her fashion illustrations.
While too many of us can barely handle painting our fingernails without making a regrettable mess, Clayrene has mastered using the stuff to make stunning art. The Singapore-based fashion artist uses both glitter and matte nail polish and a variety of brushes to develop her haute couture dress designs. The results are seriously stunning.
"Haute Couture is not only for runway," she wrote on Instagram. "We can own it through our nail polish & brushes!"
