This Story Of Being Muslim In America Won't Fix Everything, But It Will Inspire

You can still find hope on Twitter.

In a time when social media can seem like a mostly scary place, writer Anand Giridharadas posted a story on his Twitter Friday that illustrated the heart of someone who comes from what many would assume is currently a heartbroken community.

The author of The True American: Murder and Mercy in Texas shared a Muslim friend's experience of being Muslim in the U.S. during the past two weeks. While the story won't fix everything, as Giridharadas notes, it does stand as a reminder that there is an opportunity to seek a positive outcome in every situation, even when it seems that the odds are severely stacked against it.
