93-Year-Old Asks The Internet To Help Her Pick The Perfect Wedding Dress

"Frank and Sylvia have known each other for more than 20 years, and Frank has 'many times' asked Sylvia to marry him."

Ninety-three-year-old Sylvia Martin is planning to tie the knot for the second time with a man she met two decades ago. But first, she needed a little help picking the perfect red wedding dress.

Sylvia went shopping for her dress at Birdsnest, a shop in New South Wales, Australia, where she tried on four different red numbers. A Birdsnest employee posted photos of her in all four outfits on the company's Facebook page and asked followers to vote on the best look to help her decide.

"Frank and Sylvia have known each other for more than 20 years, and Frank has 'many times' asked Sylvia to marry him. Sylvia has always refused, thinking that to take a new surname would be disrespectful to her deceased husband," the Facebook post said.

Last year, Sylvia moved to Canberra, Australia to be closer to her family after becoming ill. Frank thought he'd never have another chance to ask her to marry him, but Sylvia wasn't going to let their love story end there.

"When Sylvia recovered, she found Frank, who was living in Adelaide, and convinced him to move to Canberra to be with her," the Birdsnest employee wrote. "Frank arrived a couple of months ago and again asked Sylvia to marry him. Sylvia had learned that you can keep your own surname when you marry, and so said yes. We're thrilled to play a tiny role in Sylvia's love story - and think you'll love it, too. So, what should Sylvia wear to her wedding?"

The four outfits included a simple two-piece skirt and tunic, a floral red and black wrap style, a lace shift dress, and a long-sleeved caped look. Sylvia eventually chose option C, a burgundy lace dress, after it received thousands of online votes.

Sylvia and Frank will get married in the dress on July 5, surrounded by their family and friends.
