Michael B. Jordan Shares Thoughts On 'Black Panther' And His Dream Co-Star In 'Vogue's' 73 Questions

“I really want to leave my mark on this world."

Thirty-year-old Michael B. Jordan never planned on being an actor, but has found success in roles on TV shows like HBO's The Wire, All My Children, and Friday Night Lights, as well as in films like Creed and the upcoming Marvel Studios movie Black Panther.

"I really want to leave my mark on this world," he said during Vogue's "73 Questions" interview. In the magazine's video series, which others such as Chrissy Teigen, Neil Patrick Harris, Selena Gomez, and more have taken part in, celebrities give a tour of their digs while simultaneously answering 73 rapid-fire questions. During Jordan's interview, the Los Angeles–based actor shared what working with Sylvester Stallone was like, the most outrageous thing he's ever worn, and the best trait he got from his parents.

"Compassion," he said about that last one.

He got something else important from his father, though, which was revealed when the Vogue interviewer couldn't help but ask a question that Jordan must be sick of hearing by now. "Just to clarify, you're not related to Michael Jordan?"

"No, I'm named after my dad, Michael A. Jordan," Jordan explained. And the "B.," for those wondering, stands for "Bakari." "It's Swahili," he explained. "It means 'noble promise.' " And no, he doesn't plan on naming a future son Michael C. Jordan.

He took a moment to talk about Black Panther, which he stars in alongside Lupita Nyong'o and Chadwick Boseman. "I think it's going to be incredibly original, exciting, action-packed. I really think it's a movie you haven't seen from Marvel just yet," he said.

Some other things we learned include his dream co-star (Leonardo DiCaprio), his favorite actress (Meryl Streep), what he would be doing if he wasn't acting (cooking), the most nervous he's ever been (presenting awards), and the most important thing that's missing in the world right now (a carbon tax).
