True or false: Stevia is better than regular sugar.
If you think this is true, you (along with pretty much every else) have bought into the many, many myths about sugar. While on the surface we all know sugar is not-so-good for us, there are a lot of misconceptions about the sweet substance that can sneak up on us, especially if we're trying to be healthy.
Business Insider compiled a few of those sugar myths in the below video to set them straight once and for all.
True — they're not, really. Sugar, in whatever form, contains no real nutrients.
Of course, these facts are useful whether you're cutting down on sugar or ready to devour the next cupcake or donut or awesome piece of chocolate you see, but no matter what you do, at least you'll have the facts. It's up to you what to do with them.
